Summer is here, and with it comes an incredible lineup of events, gatherings, and opportunities to connect at Your Space Collective! Fall is packed with moments to celebrate, reflect, and build community together.
5K for Peace - community partner
The 5K for Peace is a community walk/run organized by Rooted Ummah, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, taking place in Savannah, GA, on October 4, 2025. The event welcomes participants of all ages and abilities, featuring a full 5K and a 1-mile family loop along scenic historic Savannah parks.
The primary objectives are to build community, foster solidarity, and support Rooted Ummah’s mission of providing meals, day center services, and refugee assistance to unhoused, displaced, and immigrant communities locally and beyond. The event will also include cultural and community organizations promoting peace, family-friendly activities, and local food vendors, creating a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere.
PEACE-Packed Pep Rally & Packet Pick-Up
As a proud Community Sponsor for the Rooted Ummah 5K for Peace, Your Space Collective invites you to the Packet Pick-Up & Pep Rally on Thursday, October 2, from 5–10 PM at Your Space Collective (2022 W Bay St, parking available).
This isn’t your ordinary packet pick-up—it’s PEACE-packed with purpose and community care:
✨ Packets & Perks – Pick up your race materials, get route info, and unlock participant perks like free ice cream from Starland Strange and special membership discounts at Your Space. You can even register for the 5K on-site.
🛍️ Pop-Up Ally Vendor Market – Browse art, henna, vintage fashion, handmade goods, and more from beloved local vendors including Vendor X, Vendor Y, and PSLSavannah. Sign up to be a vendor
🎶 Performers for Peace – Local performers will keep the vibes going all evening. Every set will also stream on Instagram Live to over 5,000 followers. Sign up to be a performer
📱 Phoneathon for Philanthropy – Alongside the pep rally, we’re running a telethon/instathon to raise funds for community care.
🌱 Open to All – Race participants, friends, families, kids, and pets are welcome. Entry is free, with a recommended $10 donation to support the Rooted Ummah Day Center.

🌿 About the Rooted Ummah Day Center
Funds raised during the 5K for Peace directly sustain the Rooted Ummah Day Center at Your Space Collective—a hub where neighbors access meals, showers, hygiene supplies, mutual aid, and dignity each week. Together, we’re working toward a $5,000 goal that will:
$25 → provide a week’s worth of hygiene supplies
$50 → cover a hot meal for 30 people
$100 → sponsor laundry + shower access for 10 families
$250 → keep our doors open for a full week of care
$500 → stock the fridge and pantry for a month
Your generosity ensures this community resource stays strong and accessible to all.
This evening is about more than getting ready to race—it’s a rally for PEACE, powered by Palestine, Packet Pick-Up, Pep Rally energy, Performers, and Philanthropy.
